Botox injection

What is "Botox" ?

A Botox injection is one of the most growing cosmetic treatment nowadays. It is also called Botox wrinkle treatment which means the cosmetic application of the protein produced by the Clostridium Botulinum bacteria. This toxin reduces and temporarily blocks the functionality of the mimic muscles responsible for wrinkles, causing the skin to become even.

Treatment

Application of the Botox treatment takes approximately 5 minutes , if necessary local anesthetic cream is used .

Common reasons for a Botox treatment :

• forehead wrinkles
• fine eye wrinkles
• wrinkles on the neck

Botox can also be used againstgeneral or palm sweating, and used in medicine for muscle spasms and migrane.

Side effects are rare, but sometimes compound may move to other areas and b lock the functionality of othe rmuscles, like in the case of forehead wrinkles treatment the lowering of the eyelid may occur. Also possible headache, rednbess, weekness. There is no known long term side effect, possible side effects disappear in a few weeks.

The result of the treatment may last from 3 to 6 months depending on the patient. After this period it can be reapplied not more that 3 times a year.
